Seabin Project helping to protect our waters

At Lili Waste Services, we’re always on the lookout for new and innovative ways of collecting and disposing of our rubbish. Our MD Matt Miles has been a commercial skipper for over 10 years and also has another business called
Sea Amigos which helps tourists to charter yachts around Ibiza. So, when we spotted The Seabin Project, it couldn’t have been any closer to our hearts.

Two Australian surfers, Peter Ceglinski and Andrew Turton, have developed a rubbish bin that catches floating waste, oil and fuel in water. The bin is placed into the water and a pump on the floating dock makes the rubbish flow into it. It’s a really simple idea and we think it’s absolutely brilliant.

Matt Miles, Managing Director at Lili Waste, says: “I think the Seabin Project looks absolutely fantastic. We have to do everything we can to protect our seas and waterways and, with my waste disposal hat on, it’s a really new and exciting way of solving a big problem.”

The guys at The Seabin Project are trying to fund the project via Indiegogo. Make sure you check it out.
